Notrispace's food and nutrient reference data comes from public food composition databases. This page credits each source and explains the licence that applies to it.
Values may be converted, mapped and translated before they are shown in Notrispace. They are provided for information only, are not medical advice, and do not replace professional judgement.

Australian Food Composition Database (AFCD)
Australian food data in Notrispace is based on the Australian Food Composition Database, Release 3 (December 2025), published by Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ). This data is based on Australian data.
The database is made available under the FSANZ Data User Licence, which is based on the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Australia licence (CC BY-SA 3.0 AU).

Changes we made to the AFCD data
We adapted the AFCD data: energy is converted from kilojoules to kilocalories, components are mapped to the Notrispace nutrient catalogue, and food and nutrient names may be translated. These changes were made by Notrispace, not by FSANZ.
Licence of AFCD-derived data
Under the ShareAlike condition, data adapted from the AFCD is distributed under the same licence (FSANZ Data User Licence, based on CC BY-SA 3.0 AU). You may reuse the AFCD-derived values shown in Notrispace under that licence, with the attribution above.
This applies only to AFCD-derived data. The rest of Notrispace, including software, design, recipes and other content, remains subject to our Terms of Service, and nothing in those terms restricts your rights under the AFCD licence for this data.
